Buzz_Ultimate_FAQ

circle-info

This FAQ covers everything you need to know about Buzz: participation, reward buckets, Buzz Links, quests, staking, referrals, boosts, snapshot and claim, integrity, privacy, and troubleshooting. Use the sections below or expand the questions that apply to you.

Getting Started

chevron-rightWhat is Buzz?hashtag

Buzz is ChainGPT Pad's performance-based growth engine for Web3 launches. It rewards verifiable outcomes (qualified traffic, conversions, on-chain actions, in-app usage, staking share) across four buckets plus a Referrals overlay. Projects use Buzz to drive real users, real usage, and real on-chain activity. Users earn rewards by contributing measurable impact.

chevron-rightWhat is a Buzzdrop?hashtag

A Buzzdrop is a time-limited Buzz campaign where participants earn allocation opportunities based on verified outcomes. Each campaign defines which buckets and quests are enabled, destinations for Buzz Links, verification tier, and the reward pool. Points translate into allocation at snapshot.

chevron-rightHow do I join a Buzz campaign?hashtag

Open the campaign page on pad.chaingpt.org.

  • Connect a supported EVM wallet (this wallet receives rewards).

  • Click Register (your status becomes REGISTERED).

  • Start earning: grab your Buzz Links, complete available on-chain and in-app quests, stake $CGPT if you want to enter the Stakers bucket, and invite friends via your referral link.

Social accounts (X, Telegram, etc.) are optional.

chevron-rightDo I need to connect a social account like X?hashtag

No. Buzz is wallet-first. You only need a wallet and registration to be eligible and to earn across all buckets. You can optionally connect social accounts from your profile for cosmetic display and Buzz Feed previews, but they're not required for earning.

chevron-rightWhat does REGISTERED vs INVITE mean?hashtag

REGISTERED: you connected your wallet and clicked Register. Your points count at snapshot. INVITE: you took campaign actions but haven't registered yet. You may show on the leaderboard but are not eligible for allocation unless you register before the registration window ends.

Registration only requires a wallet.

chevron-rightWhat are the campaign phases?hashtag

Most campaigns follow three phases:

  • Registration & Buzz (typically 10–90 days): connect wallet, register, grab Buzz Links, complete quests, stake $CGPT, invite friends. Dashboards and leaderboards update regularly.

  • Snapshot & Allocation (typically 1–3 days): the leaderboard freezes, integrity checks run, each bucket computes a value-per-point, and allocations are calculated.

  • Claim: after TGE, tokens become claimable per the campaign's vesting schedule.

Points, Buckets & Rewards

chevron-rightAre Buzz Points the same as tokens?hashtag

No. Buzz Points are ledger entries used to rank participants and calculate allocation at snapshot. They are not transferable, not a token, and not a guaranteed payout by themselves. Tokens (or other reward denominations) are distributed after snapshot per the campaign's claim and vesting rules.

chevron-rightWhat are the four reward buckets?hashtag

Buzz v2 splits every campaign's reward pool across four buckets (default weights):

  • Buzz Links (40%) — qualified visits + verified conversions from unique per-user short links.

  • $CGPT Stakers (25%) — proportional share among registered stakers, based on stake points.

  • On-chain Quests (20%) — verified on-chain actions (mint, bridge, swap on testnet, deposit/LP with hold-time, governance).

  • In-app Quests (15%) — verified product usage events (signup, onboarding, feature use, retention).

Plus a Referrals overlay (10–20%) that pays you 10–20% of the exact points your referrals earn, credited in the same bucket. Weights and enabled buckets can be adjusted per campaign.

chevron-rightHow is allocation calculated at snapshot?hashtag

Each bucket pays out proportionally based on the points earned inside it:

Bucket Pool = Total Reward Pool × Bucket Share Value-per-point = Bucket Pool / Total Points in Bucket Your Bucket Reward = Your Points in Bucket × Value-per-point

Your total allocation is the sum of your per-bucket rewards plus referral earnings (which are credited into the same buckets your referrals earned in).

chevron-rightCan I earn from more than one bucket?hashtag

Yes. Staking, sharing Buzz Links, completing on-chain quests, and completing in-app quests are independent paths. You can earn across all of them in the same campaign, and your allocations stack.

chevron-rightDo boosts apply retroactively?hashtag

No. Boosts apply only to points earned after the boost becomes active.

chevron-rightIs there a cap on how much one person can earn?hashtag

Buzz uses layered integrity controls and per-campaign caps (wallet quality scoring, IP/device caps, per-task caps, per-bucket caps, referral caps). Specific per-user caps are campaign-configurable and shown on the campaign page.

chevron-rightWhy did my points or rank drop?hashtag

Points can drop if:

  • Integrity checks remove suspicious activity (bots, VPN traffic, duplicates, sybil clusters).

  • A hold-time deposit or LP position exits before the hold period ends (points are reversed).

  • Content is deleted, goes private, or violates campaign rules.

Rank can also change as other users earn points.

chevron-rightWhat counts as a qualified click?hashtag

A real human session that passes integrity checks. Bots, data-center traffic, VPNs, and proxies are disqualified (0 points). IP and device caps also apply. Qualified clicks may be weighted by country, with some markets earning higher multipliers.

chevron-rightWhat is a conversion?hashtag

A conversion is a project-defined action that a visitor completes after clicking your Buzz Link: for example signup, wallet connect, download, or a custom event. The project's server reports the conversion back to Buzz, and credit goes to the wallet whose link drove the visit.

chevron-rightDo all countries earn the same points per click?hashtag

No. Qualified clicks may be weighted by country. Some markets earn higher multipliers than others. The exact weighting depends on the campaign.

On-chain Quests

chevron-rightWhat kinds of on-chain quests can I do?hashtag

Examples include:

  • Mint a free badge NFT.

  • Bridge test tokens.

  • Swap on testnet.

  • Deposit or provide liquidity (with hold-time).

  • Vote, delegate, or participate in governance.

  • Complete transaction milestones or deploy contracts on testnet.

Exact quests are campaign-specific.

chevron-rightWhy is my on-chain quest showing "Pending"?hashtag

Some on-chain quests (especially deposits and LP) have a hold-time: you have to maintain the position for a set duration before points settle. The quest card shows a countdown and a "Why pending?" tooltip. If you exit the position before the hold period ends, points may be reversed.

chevron-rightDo I need to pay gas or spend money to complete quests?hashtag

Some on-chain quests may involve gas fees or optional paid actions. Any task that requires a payment is always optional, and every Buzz campaign provides a no-cost path to participate. Paid quests are labeled clearly (e.g., "Optional (Gas/fee)").

chevron-rightWhy was my on-chain quest rejected?hashtag

Common reasons: the action didn't match the task requirements (wrong contract, wrong token, wrong amount threshold), it happened outside the campaign window, or it didn't pass integrity checks (bot/sybil). The rejection reason is shown on the quest card.

In-app Quests

chevron-rightWhat kinds of in-app quests can I do?hashtag

Examples include:

  • Signup or register.

  • Connect your wallet.

  • Complete the onboarding tutorial.

  • Create an agent, bot, or profile (where applicable).

  • Use a key feature.

  • Return on day 2, 3, or 7 (retention milestones).

  • Invite a friend who activates.

Exact quests are campaign-specific.

chevron-rightHow does in-app verification work?hashtag

In-app quests are verified by the partner project via webhook (the project's server pushes signed events to Buzz) or pull verify (you tap "Verify" and Buzz calls the project's endpoint). You complete the action with the wallet you registered with, and once verified, points are credited.

chevron-rightMy in-app quest completed but points haven't arrived, why?hashtag

Give it a few minutes. Verification runs on a timer, and some events require the partner project to confirm. If the quest card still shows "Not started" or "Pending" after reasonable time, make sure you completed the action with the same wallet you registered with, and contact support if needed.

$CGPT Stakers Bucket

chevron-rightDo I need to stake to earn from Buzz?hashtag

No. Staking is optional. You can earn across Buzz Links, On-chain Quests, In-app Quests, and Referrals without staking. Staking unlocks access to the Stakers bucket and can enable a Staking Boost multiplier in other buckets.

chevron-rightHow does the Stakers bucket work?hashtag

Registered stakers earn a proportional share of the Stakers bucket based on their stake share:

Staker Share = Your Staking Points / Total Staking Points Staker Reward = (Reward Pool × 25%) × Staker Share

Example: If registered stakers total 1,000,000 staking points and you have 100,000, you own 10% of the Stakers bucket. On a $100,000 reward pool, your share = $25,000 × 10% = $2,500. Exact weights can vary per campaign.

chevron-rightWhere do I stake $CGPT?hashtag

Stake directly on pad.chaingpt.org/staking-pools. Longer commitments earn more Staking Points per token.

chevron-rightIs the Stakers bucket the same as the Staking Boost?hashtag

No. Two separate things:

  • Stakers bucket (25%) = your proportional share of the bucket, based on stake.

  • Staking Boost = a multiplier applied to the points you earn in other buckets (Buzz Links, On-chain Quests, In-app Quests), up to 5×.

You can benefit from both at the same time.

Referrals

chevron-rightHow does the Buzz referral program work?hashtag

You earn 10–20% of the exact points your referrals earn, credited into the same bucket they earned in (Buzz Links, Stakers, On-chain Quests, or In-app Quests). Referrals are one-level only. The exact referral rate within the 10–20% range is campaign-configurable.

chevron-rightWhen does my referral bonus start?hashtag

After the invited user passes a minimum activation gate (for example: registration + first qualified conversion or first completed quest). This prevents credit from passive sign-ups.

chevron-rightIs there a limit to how many people I can refer?hashtag

There's no hard limit to invites, but referral-derived points are subject to caps and integrity rules set by the campaign (to prevent sybil clustering).

chevron-rightWhat if my referral earns across multiple buckets?hashtag

Your bonus is credited per bucket. If your referral earns 5,000 points in Buzz Links and 2,000 in On-chain Quests, at a 15% rate you receive 750 Buzz Links points and 300 On-chain Quests points.

chevron-rightIs there a separate USDC referral program?hashtag

Yes. The broader ChainGPT Pad Referral Program pays USDC commissions, staking points boosts, and First-Time IDO bonuses when your referrals stake, join IDOs, or participate in Buzz campaigns. See the ChainGPT Pad Referral Program page for details.

Boosts & Missions

chevron-rightWhat boosts exist and how do I unlock them?hashtag

Common boosts:

  • Staking Boost (up to 5×): stake $CGPT.

  • Ambassador Boost (up to 1.50×): consistent, high-quality content about the ChainGPT ecosystem.

  • Loyalty Boost (0.80× to 1.30×): post-campaign activity across buckets.

  • Follower / Verify Boost (1.10×): quick verification step, where offered.

  • KuCoin Boost (1.15×): joined via KuCoin's referral link.

  • Custom Action Boost / Missions (up to 2.0×): complete specific project-defined actions.

Boosts define which buckets they multiply. See Boosts & Missions for the full breakdown.

chevron-rightCan boosts stack?hashtag

Yes. Some boosts use "highest wins" logic (common for mission boosts), and some have caps. Each campaign's rules are shown on the campaign page and in each boost card.

chevron-rightWhich buckets do boosts apply to?hashtag

Each boost defines which buckets it multiplies. The Stakers bucket is usually paid as a proportional share and isn't multiplied by boosts. The specific rules are shown on the boost card.

chevron-rightWhat is a Custom Action Boost mission?hashtag

Some campaigns include Boost Missions that reward specific high-value actions (on-chain or in-app). Completing a mission unlocks a multiplier (up to 2.0×) that applies to future points. If multiple missions exist, the highest eligible multiplier is used.

chevron-rightWhat if my boost doesn't update?hashtag

Most boosts update on a verification timer (often a few minutes). Refresh the campaign page and wait a cycle. If it still hasn't applied, contact support.

Content & the Buzz Feed

chevron-rightDoes posting earn me points directly?hashtag

No. Content is a distribution amplifier, not a points-earning task on its own. You earn from the qualified traffic and verified conversions your content drives via your Buzz Links. Content can also be submitted to the Buzz Feed where feed-driven clicks route through your tracked link.

chevron-rightWhat makes a submission eligible for the Buzz Feed?hashtag

A submission is typically eligible if it:

  • Is a dedicated post (no replies or comments).

  • Is public and still live.

  • Was posted during the campaign window.

  • Includes at least one qualifying tag (e.g., #ProjectName, $TOKEN, @ProjectHandle) or at least one of your Buzz Links. Best practice: include both.

Campaigns can configure stricter rules (tag AND link).

chevron-rightA submission shows "Needs Fix." What do I do?hashtag

The status chip shows the specific rule that failed (missing tag, missing link, not a dedicated post, etc.). Fix the issue, resubmit, and the URL will re-verify.

chevron-rightAre all languages allowed?hashtag

Yes. All languages are allowed. Just include the required tags exactly as listed on the campaign page.

chevron-rightDo images and videos help?hashtag

Media is not required, but relevant media (screenshots, demos, short clips, charts, explainers) tends to drive more clicks. Random low-value media usually doesn't help.

chevron-rightWhat about replies, retweets, and quote posts?hashtag

The Buzz Feed accepts dedicated posts/submissions only. Replies and comments are not included in the feed. You can, of course, drop your Buzz Links anywhere (replies, bios, descriptions, pinned comments) — traffic from those placements still attributes to you if clicks qualify.

chevron-rightCan I edit or delete a submission?hashtag

Deleted submissions may have their points and attribution removed. Editing may trigger rescoring or re-verification if the post no longer meets feed requirements (missing tag, missing link).

chevron-rightCan I tag multiple campaigns in one post?hashtag

Yes, but be reasonable. Submissions that are overly tag-stuffed or spammy may be filtered. Include the required identifiers for each campaign you want credit in, and keep the content genuinely useful.

Snapshot, Allocation & Claim

chevron-rightWhen are rewards calculated?hashtag

After the Buzz period ends, the campaign enters Snapshot & Allocation. The leaderboard freezes across all buckets, integrity checks sweep the ledger, each bucket computes a value-per-point, and allocations are calculated.

chevron-rightWhat happens if I miss the snapshot?hashtag

Only REGISTERED participants count when the snapshot occurs. If you register after the snapshot, or you earn points after the snapshot, those points won't grant allocation in that campaign.

chevron-rightWhen can I claim my rewards?hashtag

Claims open after TGE and follow the campaign's vesting schedule. Exact dates and vesting terms are defined on the campaign page.

chevron-rightDo I need to do anything to claim?hashtag

Yes. You must stay eligible (registered, not disqualified by integrity checks) and follow the campaign's claim process. Some campaign types (like IBOs) may require KYC before claiming.

chevron-rightWhat happens to unclaimed or unregistered allocation?hashtag

Unregistered users don't receive allocation. Unclaimed allocation is handled per the campaign's terms (redistributed, returned to pool, or otherwise managed). Check the campaign page for specifics.

KYC, Geo & Eligibility

chevron-rightDo I need to KYC to join a Buzz campaign?hashtag

Buzzdrops: typically no KYC (geo-blocks may apply). IBOs / Public Sales / fundraising campaigns: typically KYC is required.

Always check the campaign page for specifics.

chevron-rightWhich countries are restricted from Buzzdrops?hashtag

Buzzdrops are geo-blocked by IP in certain jurisdictions for compliance reasons. Restricted regions currently include: Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Canada, China, Cuba, Egypt, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Monaco, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, North Korea, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Ukraine (Fully Embargoed Regions: Crimea, Donetsk/DNR, Luhansk/LNR). Geo-block and VPN-block are enforced at the platform level. Attempts to bypass restrictions may result in disqualification.

chevron-rightWhat if my country is in a gray zone?hashtag

For users in regions where regulations are unclear, participation is evaluated on a project-by-project basis. Always check the specific campaign page for eligibility rules.

chevron-rightIs there a minimum wallet age or balance to participate?hashtag

There's no hard minimum, but wallet quality scoring (0–100) reduces rewards for fresh or suspicious wallets and boosts established wallets. Use a wallet with some genuine history where possible.

Integrity & Troubleshooting

chevron-rightMy points didn't update, what should I do first?hashtag

Most awards settle on a verification timer. Give it a few minutes and refresh.

  • Buzz Links: confirm you shared your own unique link. Bot, VPN, proxy, and data-center clicks don't count.

  • In-app quests: make sure you completed the action with the wallet you registered with.

  • On-chain quests: allow time for on-chain verification. Hold-time tasks show "Pending" with a countdown.

  • Content submissions: check the status chip. If it says "Needs Fix," follow the inline reason and resubmit.

chevron-rightHow does Buzz filter out bots and farmers?hashtag

Layered integrity controls:

  • Bot and data-center traffic blocked or scored to zero.

  • VPN/proxy traffic de-weighted or excluded.

  • IP and device caps.

  • Wallet quality scoring (0–100).

  • Geo-weighting.

  • Hold-time verification for deposits and LP.

  • Anomaly review queues for top earners and suspicious clusters.

  • One-level referrals with activation gates and caps.

chevron-rightCan I change my connected wallet?hashtag

Your wallet is your canonical identity in Buzz. Points and eligibility are tied to the wallet you registered with, and for integrity reasons points typically can't be migrated between wallets. Use the wallet you plan to keep for the duration of the campaign.

chevron-rightCan I change my connected social account?hashtag

Yes. Social accounts are optional in Buzz and are used only for cosmetic display and feed previews. You can connect or disconnect socials from your profile without affecting your earned points or eligibility.

chevron-rightWhat content standards apply?hashtag
  • No financial advice or price targets.

  • No "pump" or "to the moon" language.

  • No misleading claims.

  • Disclose paid partnerships.

  • Follow applicable platform terms and local laws.

Violations may result in zero points, loss of allocation, or disqualification.

chevron-rightWhat if I think a rejection was a mistake?hashtag

Check the rejection reason first (shown on the task or submission card). If you still believe it's an error, contact support with the campaign name, your wallet address, the specific event (link URL, tx hash, app event, submission URL), and approximate time.

Privacy & Data

chevron-rightWhat data does Buzz store?hashtag

Buzz stores what it needs to verify outcomes and pay rewards:

  • Your wallet address (for registration, points ledger, distribution).

  • Points ledger entries per bucket with verification metadata.

  • Wallet quality score metadata (from third-party providers) used as a multiplier input.

  • Optional social account identifiers if you choose to connect socials.

  • Content submissions you post to the Buzz Feed.

chevron-rightHow are social accounts connected?hashtag

Via OAuth. Passwords are never stored. You can revoke social access from your profile at any time.

chevron-rightCan I revoke access after a campaign?hashtag

Yes. You can disconnect social accounts and revoke OAuth access at any time. Points you've earned remain tied to your wallet.

For Projects

chevron-rightHow do I run a Buzzdrop for my project?hashtag

Contact the ChainGPT Pad team with your target TGE date, budget range, and goals. We'll propose a campaign plan, bucket weights, and task structure. See the For Projects: Run a Buzzdrop page.

chevron-rightWhat do I need to provide as a project?hashtag
  • Narrative (3–5 core talking points).

  • Required tags (hashtag, ticker, handle).

  • Assets (logo kit, screenshots, optional demo clip).

  • Buzz Links destinations (landing, app, community, docs).

  • Conversions to track (signup, wallet connect, download, etc.).

  • Optional quests (in-app and/or on-chain).

  • Verification tier (no-dev, webhook, or SDK).

  • Timeline, reward pool, and bucket weights.

chevron-rightWhat verification tiers are available?hashtag
  • No-dev: quick setup using external signals.

  • Webhook: your server pushes signed events to Buzz.

  • SDK: deeper integration for richer verification.

chevron-rightCan I disable buckets I don't need?hashtag

Yes. Buckets are campaign-configurable. If a bucket isn't relevant to your campaign (e.g., no on-chain component), it can be disabled and weights can be redistributed.

chevron-rightDo all tasks need to be free?hashtag

Every Buzz campaign must provide a no-cost path to participate. Tasks that require a payment can be included as optional, but can't be the only way to earn.

chevron-rightWhat analytics do I get?hashtag

A real-time dashboard with qualified clicks, verified conversions, quest completion funnels, on-chain and in-app metrics, fraud rate, and mindshare/sentiment (informational). A before/after post-campaign report is delivered at the end.
