Rules, Integrity & Troubleshooting

Fix tracking issues, understand rescoring, limits, geo/KYC rules, and integrity standards.

Top fixes (most common tickets)

1) My points didn't update

Most point awards settle on a verification timer. Give it a few minutes and refresh the campaign page. If points still don't show:

  • Buzz Links: confirm you shared your own unique Buzz Link (not someone else's). Clicks from bots, VPNs, proxies, or data centers don't count.

  • In-app quests: make sure the action was completed in the partner app with the same wallet you registered with.

  • On-chain quests: allow time for on-chain verification. Some quests (deposits, LP) have a hold-time before points settle (you'll see a "Pending" status with a countdown and a "Why pending?" tooltip).

  • Content submissions: if a submission shows Needs Fix in the Buzz Feed, follow the inline reason (missing tag, missing Buzz Link, not a dedicated post, etc.) and resubmit.

  • Confirm the link is your unique link for the campaign (one per destination, per wallet).

  • Clicks tagged as bot, data-center, VPN, or proxy are disqualified (0 points).

  • IP and device caps apply. Repeated clicks from the same IP/device within a short window may not count.

  • Very low-quality wallet clicks (fresh/suspicious wallets) may be de-weighted.

3) Why did my points / rank drop?

Points can drop if:

  • Integrity checks remove suspicious or invalid activity (bots, VPN traffic, duplicates, sybil clusters).

  • A hold-time deposit or LP position exits before the hold period ends (points are reversed).

  • Content is deleted, goes private, or violates campaign rules.

Rank can also change as other users earn points.

4) A quest shows "Pending" or "Rejected"

Every quest has a clear status:

  • Not started: you haven't completed the task yet.

  • Pending: the system is verifying the event, or a hold-time is counting down. Check the "Why pending?" tooltip for details.

  • Verified: points awarded.

  • Rejected: the task didn't meet requirements. The rejection reason is shown on the quest card.

If you believe a rejection is a mistake, check the rejection reason first, then contact support with the details listed below.

Posting and submission rules

  • Registration required. Only REGISTERED participants are eligible. Click Register on the campaign page after connecting your wallet.

  • Content submissions (Buzz Feed) must be dedicated posts (not replies or comments), public, and still live.

  • Required tags and Buzz Links: feed visibility defaults to at least one qualifying tag or one Buzz Link. Best practice is to include both. Campaigns may tighten this to "tag AND link."

  • All languages are allowed. Just include the required tags exactly as listed on the campaign page.

  • No duplicate content. Reposting the same content across your own accounts can be filtered as duplicates.

Editing or deleting content

  • Deleted submissions may have their points removed, and any downstream feed clicks attributed through them stop counting.

  • Editing a post can cause rescoring or detection issues if required tags or Buzz Links change. Avoid editing in ways that remove required identifiers.

Integrity model (how Buzz defends reward pools)

Buzz uses layered integrity controls to protect campaigns:

  • Bot and data-center traffic is blocked or scored to zero.

  • VPN and proxy traffic is de-weighted or excluded depending on campaign strictness.

  • IP and device caps limit how often one device can generate rewarded events.

  • Wallet quality scoring (0–100) reduces rewards for fresh or suspicious wallets and boosts established wallets.

  • Geo-weighting may apply to Buzz Links clicks. Some markets earn higher multipliers than others.

  • Hold-time verification for deposits and LP: points stay pending until the hold period passes and can be reversed if positions exit early.

  • Referral controls: one-level referrals only, activation gates, caps to reduce sybil clustering.

  • Anomaly review queues: top earners and suspicious clusters are auto-flagged for manual review.

  • Content quality scoring on Buzz Feed submissions to filter low-effort and spammy content.

Attempts to game the system (bots, fake accounts, engagement pods, bought engagement, multi-accounting, VPN bypass) can lead to removal of points or disqualification.

Content standards

  • No financial advice or price targets.

  • No "pump" or "to the moon" language.

  • No misleading claims about the project or its mechanics.

  • Disclose paid partnerships where applicable.

  • Follow applicable platform terms and local laws.

Violations may result in zero points, loss of allocation, or disqualification.

Can I change my connected wallet?

Your wallet is your canonical identity in Buzz. Points and eligibility are tied to the wallet you registered with. For integrity reasons, points typically cannot be migrated between wallets. Use the wallet you plan to keep for the duration of the campaign (and that you use to claim rewards after TGE).

Can I change my connected social account?

Social accounts are optional in Buzz. They are used only for cosmetic display and feed previews, not for earning. You can connect or disconnect socials from your profile without affecting your earned points or eligibility.

Restricted regions (Buzzdrops)

Buzzdrops are geo-blocked by IP in certain jurisdictions for compliance reasons. Restricted regions currently include:

Algeria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Canada, China, Cuba, Egypt, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Monaco, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, North Korea, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Ukraine (Fully Embargoed Regions: Crimea, Donetsk (DNR), Luhansk (LNR)).

Geo-block and VPN-block are enforced at the platform level. Attempts to bypass restrictions (VPN, proxy, spoofed IPs) may result in disqualification and removal of points.

Restricted regions for IBOs and other KYC-gated flows may differ. Always check the campaign page for the specific requirements that apply.

Privacy: what data is stored

Buzz stores what it needs to verify outcomes and calculate rewards:

  • Your wallet address (for registration, points ledger, and distribution).

  • Points ledger entries per bucket with verification metadata (click events, conversion events, on-chain evidence, in-app events).

  • Wallet quality score metadata (from third-party providers) used as a multiplier input.

  • Optional social account identifiers if you choose to connect socials (handle, user ID, public profile info). These are used for display and feed previews only.

  • Content submissions you post to the Buzz Feed (URL, platform, preview metadata).

When you connect a social account, the connection uses OAuth; passwords are never stored. You can revoke social access at any time from your profile.

Contacting Support

When reaching out, include:

  • Campaign name.

  • Your wallet address.

  • The issue (points missing, quest stuck, submission rejected, etc.) with a specific example.

  • If a Buzz Link click is in question: the link URL and approximate click time.

  • If an on-chain quest is in question: the transaction hash.

  • If an in-app quest is in question: the partner app, the action, and approximate time.

  • If a content submission is in question: the submission URL and the Needs Fix / Rejected reason shown.

The more detail you include, the faster support can verify and resolve the issue.
